Before discussing the most suitable sex positions for conceiving a child, let me remind you that fertilization occurs during the period of a woman’s ovulation, approximately 14-16 days after the onset of menstruation.
It is then that the mature egg enters the fallopian tube specifically to meet with the spermatozoa.
For successful conception, it is better for partners to have sex from the 10th to the 17th day of the cycle every other day, but not more often, since with frequent ejaculation, the number of spermatozoa decreases and the sperm becomes less concentrated.
According to experts, the principle “not quantity, but quality” is important here, so making love several times a day is unlikely to lead to a successful result, although about a third of my clients were in this delusion.
Let me also remind you that the essence of fertilization is that the male seed after ejaculation must reach the female egg and get inside it.
Therefore, the task of the partners is to ensure maximum bodily contact and set the desired direction of movement for the spermatozoa.
Position 1. Classic and missionary sex position
Well, there is nothing to teach you here! The woman lies on her back, the man rests on top of his arms and legs. The missionary sex position for conceiving a child is the most favorable, but sometimes it is considered boring.
Variations of the position of the woman’s body allow you to change the sensations depending on the angle of penetration: you can bend your knees and bring them to your chest or throw your legs over the shoulders of a man (so called the “general” sex position), you can put a pillow under the pelvis or hug the man with your legs.
In general, try as much as you want! It’s not always boring)) I like it with a pillow, and the angle of inclination is right there then – the sperm immediately flows to the cervix.
The legs of a woman on his shoulders also give a good option so that the spermatozoa can get as close as possible to the cervix.
Position 2. A man from behind, lying down
The most “lazy” position for a woman: her movement is difficult here. But the hands are free – you can stimulate the clitoris. So, in this position, the woman lies on her stomach, and the man enters her from behind.
In this sex position, the partner’s penis penetrates deep into the vagina, deeper than in the missionary position (proven by gynecologists!).
This sexposition is especially good for conception if you have a curved back of the cervix (anteflexio) or a curved neck in front (retroflexio).
Position 3. Classic knee-elbow position
The woman gets on all fours, and the man enters from behind, holding the hips of his beloved.
This position is often referred to as “doggy style” and is very effective for conceiving a baby: the penny directly “looks” at the cervix.
Plus, here you have more freedom of movement and you can adjust both the depth of penetration and the relative sexposition of the organs (with the help of a deflection in the lower back).
Positions 4 and 5. Side positions: “scissors” or “spoons”
Both of you lie on a side, side-by-side. The pose, which is often called “spoons”, allows partners to save energy (both take a comfortable lying sex position), the man hugs the woman from behind and does not press on her with his weight, while he can penetrate deep enough. It is easy for a woman to regulate the depth of penis penetration and the frequency of frictions. When the uterus deviates to the right or to the left, the optimal position of the partner is lying on her side (toward which the bend is directed).
You can also try the option on the side, but facing each other. This sex position also allows deep penetration of the penis, which means that it delivers sperm directly to the cervix.
The advantage of both positions is the parallel stimulation of the woman’s clitoris during the movements of partners – which means that orgasm is more likely to occur.
Of course, achieving orgasm by a woman is not a prerequisite for pregnancy, but it has some significance: in the process of orgasm, the woman’s intimate muscles contract, which helps sperm move in the right direction.
Sex Position 6. “Wheelbarrow”
For me, this is one of the most uncomfortable sex positions, when both partners only think how to hold on and not fall – It’s hard to relax in it.
But if you use to experiment – try it.
